Since 1972, IFP has been a leading innovator and provider of psychological
screening and assessment for police and other public safety agencies in the United
States and internationally. IFP helps employers to save money, avoid
headaches and select the most suitable candidates. In cooperation with
agency administrators, we help improve the promotional process. and deal with problem personnel, through consultation and fitness for duty examinations.
IFP also provides critical incident de-briefing
to proactively help ward off PTSD. Training programs are offered for police-community relations,
intra-departmental conflict resolution and other related issues. Helping
agencies to proactively reduce risk of unnecessary litigation, and providing
strong data based defense for all of our recommendations, are major benefits
for our clients. In today's litigious climate, IFP has never been
successfully sued.
The Institute for Forensic Psychology has twelve affiliated, independently operated branch offices, and serves over seven hundred police, and other public safety agencies. Among these are municipal and state police departments, sheriffs' offices, fire departments, state and county prosecutors, transit authorities, and Federal agencies. IFP is also proud to work with public safety and security services in Australia and Trinidad. We invite you to investigate us. Ask any colleague who is familiar with our work, or contact IFP (see link above) for additional information.
